Jeremiah Kent put together this awesome video slideshow from photos he took of the amazing food and drinks that he enjoyed while traveling around the world for 18 months!
Food and travel have always gone hand in hand for the traveler. Experiencing local cuisine connects us with the cultures and the people of the countries we visit. We eat street food, try strange looking fruits, take cooking classes, share home cooked meals with local families, eat at cafes with our new travel mates, and of course indulge in the local beer and booze of choice. Food is ritualistic, social, delicious, and connected to our fondest travel memories (…and sometimes the not so fond memories).
For the non-traveler, ethnic cuisine might be a person’s only knowledge of a far away culture, and might be the main reason they hope to someday visit that place. So no matter who you talk to when you return from your travels, one of the first questions you’re going to hear is: “What did you eat?”
Well my name is Jeremiah Kent, and I just recently returned from an 18 month round the world adventure, where I visited 35 countries, on 6 continents – and ate a lot of food! I’m an Los Angeles based filmmaker and photographer and needless to say, I documented my travels, especially the food I ate and the drinks I drank. So, if your wondering that same question, that everyone asks, I made this photo montage for you: 18 Months of Food and Bevs from Around the World!
Oh, and if you’re wondering why there’s no meat, it’s because I’m a pescatarian.
