Now we’re almost through the winter, we can start to look forward to sunnier times and we all start thinking about where we’re going this summer. However, if you can’t wait that long to feel the warmth of the sun on your back then don’t wait for the summer months. Instead go to a destination that, because of its southerly latitude, begins its summer far earlier than the rest of Europe.
Cyprus is a great place to go if you’re seeking off-season sun, and in fact, it could be said that this is a place that is almost too hot for comfort during the summer. But head there in October or early spring and you can enjoy some beautiful warm and sunny weather.
It’s no wonder that so many people head there during the Easter and autumn school holidays, as you can enjoy not only the weather, but some beautiful beaches and some amazing hotel facilities too. For example, the Adams Beach Hotel Cyprus is on the beautiful Nissi Bay. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars in Nissi. The hotel has some fantastic facilities including a pool with water slides and spa.
In addition to this, it’s only 3km from the lively resort of Ayia Napa, so the hotel offers a perfect mix of access to one of the liveliest resorts in Cyprus but also the possibility of going back to the hotel for a quieter place to relax.
The sea around Cyprus is always calm and there are plenty of safe swimming areas. And of course, the island has some amazing beaches to visit. When you’ve had enough of the beach you’ll find the historic and cultural sites around the island are fascinating. Inland, there are also the Troodos Mountains for hiking and horse riding and some spectacular gorges to visit too. If you plan on doing a lot of sightseeing while you’re in Cyprus, you might want to hire a car for the duration of your holiday, and then you’ll really be able to explore the whole island really easily.
